Outfitted with 1000+ horsepower engines and trick long-travel suspension systems, sand cars can top 150 mph and wheelie with just a blip of the throttle. The new Traxxas Pro Scale® Sand Car is a 55+ mph replica purpose-built to deliver the same raw excitement and thrill of driving the full-size Funco Motorsports car in dramatic X-Series™ scale.

Traxxas re-engineered the X-Series platform to create a sand car that would accurately replicate not just the look of the Funco machine, but also its mind-blowing driving dynamics. Grab full throttle on the Traxxas Pro Scale Sand Car and you'll experience the thrill and excitement of driving a top-tier 1000+ horsepower sand car for yourself.

A new low-CG 2WD chassis was engineered with focused development on even more strength and resistance to flex. A thick reinforcing brace unifies the front bulkhead and chassis into one cohesive structure for incredible strength and impact resilience. The rear bulkhead was redesigned to accommodate the ultra-heavy-duty transmission and differential.

The Sand Car’s VXL-s speed control features an aggressive tune that maximizes power output across the entire rpm range. The additional mid-range punch hits hard for rolling wheelies on demand. The Velineon 1200XL brushless motor is an 8s powerhouse that features increased cooling from a massive heatsink and dual fans.

The Pro Scale Sand Car’s clipless body easily removes and installs in just seconds, all while locking in place with incredible strength and security. The system uses a rigid internal cage to minimize flex body flex and hold the wing firmly in place. The LED whip lights use a single quick-disconnect plug to make body removal a snap.

30+ years of innovation have created the strongest transmission ever fitted to a Traxxas vehicle. The massively reinforced case holds the gears in perfect alignment with heavy-duty bearings for smooth power transfer. Huge, wide-face 1.5 module steel gears put extra strength where it’s needed most for dependable power delivery.

The high-output Traxxas TQi" 2.4 GHz radio system delivers superior range, 30-model memory, and maximum control. Add the Traxxas Link Wireless Module (6511, sold separately) to send real-time telemetry to your smart phone using the free Traxxas Link" app.

The Pro Scale Sand Car protects your batteries by positioning them deep in the chassis with full side protection. Rugged snap-lock retainers keep a firm grip on the batteries for intense action and high-flying fun.

Driving a powerful two-wheel-drive vehicle on loose sand can be challenging for even the best drivers. Traxxas Stability Management® (TSM) makes it easy for any diver to harness the Sand Car’s brutal 8s power for all-out acceleration and control. TSM lets you adjust the amount of assistance from off to 100% right from your transmitter.

The Sand Car’s whip lights are color-matched to the body to provide a clear and bright visibility marker when running at high speed. The whip lights feature Flex Tech spring-loaded mounts, allowing them to bend without breaking in case of rollovers.

Take your Sand Car to the next level of scale realism with accessory Pro Scale LED lights (sold separately). Blaze a trail ahead with the front and rear LED light bars with high beam function and working brake/reverse lights. Add even more detail with the shock-mounted rock lights and side-mount pod lights or add underbody lighting for a dramatic look.

• LiPo Batteries: Traxxas recommends dual 4-Cell, 6700 mAh Power Cell LiPo batteries (part 2890X) or the Dual 4s Completer Pack (Part 2997).
• LiPo Balance Charger with iD®: Traxxas EZ-Peak® Live Dual 4s-capable charger is recommended for easy and fast charging performance (model 2973).
• AA Alkaline Batteries: Four AA alkaline batteries for the transmitter.
